About me
Carla Panciera’s poetry and prose have appeared in numerous journals including Poetry, The New England Review, and RHINO. Her collection of short stories, Bewildered, received AWP’s Grace Paley Short Fiction Award in 2013 and was published by the University of Massachusetts Press. She has also published two collections of poetry: Cider Press Award Winner, One of the Cimalores and Bordighera Press Poetry Award Winning, No Day, No Dusk, No Love. Her third collection is forthcoming from Bordighera in November 2025. She was the James E. Kilgore scholar in Nonfiction at Bread Loaf Writers Conference and is the recipient of an Individual Artist Grant in Creative Nonfiction from the Massachusetts Cultural Council. Her newest book, Barnflower: A Rhode Island Farm Memoir, was released in 2023 by Loom Press.A retired high school English teacher, Carla lives in Rowley, MA.
