Shanta Lee is an award-winning writer across genres, a visual artist, and a public intellectual actively participating in the cultural discourse with work that is widely featured in Harper’s Magazine, the Poetry Foundation, The Massachusetts Review, Art New England, and anthologies in addition to Seeing...the Unseen and In-Between within Vermont’s Landscape, a segment Shanta created produced and reported for Vermont Public. Her accolades have included the 2024 New England Poetry Club’s Grant for Poetic Achievement, National Arts Strategies - New England Creative Community Fellowship and the 2024 Abel Meeropol Social Justice Writing Award, and 2020 recipient of the Arthur Williams Award for Meritorious Service to the Arts.
